Main Street Sales Decline

Sales tax declined 5 - 8% every quarter in the Main Street Moves closure. Ventura remained nearly flat.

The data shows this is not simply because of the economy or changing retail trends. If it were, similar declines would be occurring in all of Ventura.

Instead, the Main Street Moves closure area declined significantly every quarter while the rest of the city remained relatively stable.
